President 
  • Provide overall direction for the organization. 

  • Evaluate the probability of new events.  

  • Overall responsibility for the board and the event committees.  

  • Make sure members and sponsors are receiving the recognition promised.   

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.

Vice-President 

  • Working directly with the President, provide direction for the organization. 

  • Retainment & recruitment of businesses into the organization.   

  • Ensure that all committees have retained the proper insurance and permits for events. 

  • Manage memberships and sponsorships. 

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.

Secretary 

  • Keep YBA calendar of events.  

  • Schedule board meetings monthly. 

  • Schedule guest speakers. 

  • Record minutes from board meetings and distribute to the board members.  

  • Custodian of all YBA records including minutes, financial, permits, and the similar. 

  • Create a quarterly newsletter to be sent to membership. 

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.

Treasurer 

  • Oversee the financial administration including online payments for memberships, sponsorships and event participation. 

  • Approve budgets for events submitted by committees. 

  • Cut checks for any payments due to vendors. 

  • Approve credit card statements. 

  • Reconcile bank statements. 

  • Generate financial reports. 

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.

Social Media Manager 

  • Post information from committees, board members and membership to Facebook & Instagram. 

  • Send newsletters and any other emails needed to membership and subscribers.   

  • Update website using the Wix platform.   

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.

Board Members

  • Manage budgets.  

  • Hold officers accountable to their job duties and to the mission of the YBA. 

  • Present ideas for improvements to the YBA. 

  • Meeting with board members to assess the direction of the organization in keeping with the mission of the YBA.
